Annika has dedicated her law career to advocacy on behalf of marginalized communities. Originally from Switzerland, she graduated from Loyola Law in 2013 and began her career as a Public Defender in a rural Louisiana Parish. There she represented juveniles and adults who were unable to afford attorneys in state court as well as the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. She continued her career as an immigration attorney in Louisiana, where she argued hundreds of cases in front of the Executive Office for Immigration Review and the Board of Immigration Appeals. She went on to practice civil law in New Orleans, gaining experience in contract law, successions, disability access law, Civil Rights/ Section 1983 litigation, and personal injury claims.
