Mark has over 20 years of experience as an attorney representing American Indian tribes across the United States. He works on behalf of tribal governments on the development of economic enterprises including gaming, cannabis, hemp, and tribal lending, on a variety of internal governance issues, and in relationships and disputes with federal agencies, states, and local governments. Mark provides general business legal services and advises on construction contracts. Mark also provides pro bono legal assistance to several indigenous spiritual organizations. Mark started his practice with DNA-People’s Legal Services in Shiprock, New Mexico, continued with California Indian Legal Services in Bishop, California, and as a partner with Fredericks, Peebles & Morgan LLP.
